Every month, the U.S. Department of State releases the Visa Bulletin, a critical tool for those navigating the Green Card process. It outlines which priority dates are eligible to move forward and when applicants can file for Adjustment of Status.

We strongly recommend monitoring the Visa Bulletin and Adjustment of Status regularly,  as monthly changes can significantly affect your immigration strategy.

Key Updates for August – Employment-Based Categories (EB-1A and EB-2 NIW):

  1. USCIS confirmed it continues to follow the Final Action Dates chart for August 2025. This means that only applicants with a priority date earlier than the listed date on that chart or marked as current (“C”) are eligible to file their Adjustment of Status applications.

  2. 1st Preference – EB-1
(Aliens of Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Professors and Researchers, and Certain Multinational Managers or Executives)
  • The EB-1 category remains unchanged for all countries compared to July 2025.

  1. 2nd Preference – EB-2 NIW
(Members of the Professions and Aliens of Exceptional Ability)
  • The EB-2 category for most countries (All Chargeability Areas, Mexico, and the Philippines) has retrogressed by 1 month and 2 weeks compared to July 2025.
  • China and India remain unchanged from the previous month.

Remember, staying updated with the Visa Bulletin can help you stay ahead and make informed decisions.
